Sad to hear of this on RH earlier in the middle of us celebrating Town's achievements tonight

Two people in a car on the level crossing struck by the Cleethorpes to Scunny train have just been confirmed dead on the Look North late news

Yes FOOW very sad news indeed, I am work at the minute at Pasture street, Apparently it happened at 1940hrs, Really feel for the train driver, What i have heared is a car was waiting at the crossing and a car in the rear bumped the car waiting which took the car in front of on coming train, Linespeed is 60mph over Great Coates too,

RIP

Yes mate Half barriers (AHB's) The usual is people going round the barriers, But in this case i am led to believe that is not what happened, It was the Cleethorpes to Scunthorpe train too so would not of been stopping at Great coates so would of been doing 60mph, If it had been the Cleethorpes to Barton train there may have not of been fatalities due the Barton train stopping at Great coates station.

I thought you'd be in the know Chris...terrible news all round

For the poor people who lost their lives; for the poor driver knowing what was going to happen; to the passengers on the train too who wouldn't have a clue

I know they said that fortunately the train wasn't de-railed as this really could have been a lot worse than it's turned out to be

My thoughts go to all involved...really sad

Still unsure what happened, it's my day off today back tomorrow, so may know a little more then, Lets hope the car driver did not try and get around the barriers whilst down.
