Grimsby lacked the quality that Leyton Orient has and we’re much slower in every single area, almost looking like we’re not fully fit. Big first game and lots of lessons to learn for the lads. The ref has been rubbish but you play the game I suppose.

Pretty poor by Town today I'm afraid. Some very poor passing and nothing up front and beaten by a very competent Leyton Orient team.

We've played well in periods despite having a depleted team, positive to take away from the game. They've only managed to beat us because of a penalty and a wonder goal.

Their goalie lost control of the ball and McAtee made what looked like a fair challenge.

Non high boot, no contact with their goalie, so why blow for a foul?

Poor reffing.

However, over all, our passing game has been poor and the better team has won today !

Some thinking to do for Hurst and the team !
