I thought it was worth a thread on its own - I thought he was fantastic today.

Saw him a few times during his last spell, and clearly he was a Prem youth player with immense potential. I was SO disappointed that he joined Barrow last season as i couldn’t believe he deserved such a drop in level, but incredibly he’s ended up here again and he’s a class apart.

Good corners, solid clearances, good passing and crossing, he’s got the lot for a full back. And we’ve got Amos as a back-up. Can’t be bad.

I thought he was good first time, but not as good as the raving on here. Barrow didn't rate him last season. Was very good yesterday

I think he looked great second half when he linked with Wearne, also has a good delivery which we have been missing. Quick mention for Amos too who is also a decent player as back up

Think Wearne will be in the side sooner rather than later, you could see his extra bit of quality even in the 10-15 mins he was on the pitch yesterday. Agree with everyone regarding Glennon, he was arguably our best player yesterday although I would’ve given Holohan MOM. Glennon’s delivery both from crosses and dead balls look like an almighty threat.

Said elsewhere, I absolutely love Glennon. He works hard and seems a great prospect.

Love to see a full back bombing on and having that desire to push past his winger and get the ball in or creating space by dragging a defender away.

It’s rather simple but effective. No messing around, not over complicating it, and getting some real quality deliveries in…

Hopefully he continues and grows into his role even more as the season develops.

Hurst has a great track record with signing full backs and improving them.

Very excited to see how good Glennon will be if he's going to improve on this.

We are all fretting a bit, and some more than a bit, about signing a striker and now with an op likely for McAtee probably more than one. But players like Glennon will become part of a quality spine to the team that we are building to avoid signing a whole new team every close season. We’ve a great back line and I struggle to recall a better set of footballers there - all comfortable on the ball - even in the championship days; we all loved Marc  Lever - comfortable on the ball he was not…

Seen a few times on socials that Glennon was a Holloway signing. Pretty damn sure Glennon was a Jolley signing along with Josh Benson. Jolley was the one with the Burnley connections…just to clear that one up

You're wrong. Jolley apparently has the Burnley connections but failed to sign anyone from them i think...Alex Whitmore came from their academy originally, and that Ali Kioki played one friendly.

Holloway then came in, and bizarrely went and signed those two from Burnley.

Barrow didn't rate him. We once signed a striker from Scunthorpe who was a lazy f*cker according to their supporters.

He absolutely loves it as well. Going mad when we got the equaliser. We are spoilt for enthusiastically celebrating left backs this season.

So what amazing left back did Barrow have that kept Glennon out? (He looked good at this level last time and, based on admittedly not much game time, he still looks good now!)

Cracking player and a good lad. Very strange dress sense though… Just seen him in Tesco in a full dark green tracksuit.

And he was excellent in the Cleethorpes friendly that year. Very strong and athletic. Must have had a better offer from elsewhere.

Koiki looked very promising when he was on trial here, scarily it was 4 years ago!

If I remember correctly, the issue was that we had already renewed Andrew Fox's contract but needed to offload another left-back to free up space in the squad before we could sign another.

As unbelievable as it sounds, offloading Paul Dixon wasn't an easy task...

Probably a reflection of how far we've come, even taking into account a big excrement spell in the middle of those four years, but I'd take Glennon every single time over Koiki.
