It is obviously true which is why the pitch looks in fantastic nick compared to our lawns. It was steady rain but it only started about 5.30 so there is obviously a problem with the drainage.

Not sure if you’ve been living in a fridge for the last 2 months, but we’ve not had a normal summer. 40degree days and hardly a drop of rain for weeks. You can’t replicate the effect of natural rainfall with a few sprinklers and hosepipes.

How the fupping hell is that guy a doctor ?? its obvious that the cup on the normal grass can get more air into the cup because of the blades of grass causing gaps at the rim.   That experiment has got nothing to do with drainage.
