Matt Dean has just interviewed JS and ask if Graham Rodgers has left the club. JS didn't know!  Has anybody heard anything?

In no other industry would you expect the owner to know if certain individuals are still employed by the club or not.

Rodger was effectively demoted and therefore wouldn't be reporting to the board, so it is feasible for him not to know. On the other hand, some may say that answering you don't know shuts down the conversation and prevents further questioning.

For a business with over 500 staff maybe, outside of the players we surely have less than 100? You’d expect JS to know if one of them leaves.

At the risk of courting fury from the “they’ve been at Town for ages so must be brilliant brigade” should we be bothered? Especially when the details are not visible.

I work in a company that employs a few thousand people, my division of the company has about 70 people but I wouldn't expect the Finance Director to know whether or not I had left his division of the company.

Operationally, Debbie is in charge of driving the business forward and more likely to know about specific comings and goings. That said, part of me also thinks that he does know the answer but by claiming not to know, he isn't lying and doesn't invite further questions.

I don't know if the below helps, it's from Matt Dean's Twitter today. I heard it live just before the match started.

He said Graham was employed by the GTSET, which he actually doesn’t come under his remit (It’s not technically owned by the club), and he doesn’t know the reason why he left.

Someone's misheard then as I've listened to the interview and it's Giles Coke that's leaving. Nothing to do with Pearson entering his new role and nothing against Cokey, it's to do with new direction and ideas without stockpiling staff. Wish him well but we move on

He is also a long term fan. Wouldn’t a fan want know if Graeme Rodger a distinguished explayer and servant of the club for 25 years had left or not whether he makes the decision or not.

Dunno. However a long term fan would know it was spelt “Graham”.

My view is the last sentence, Graham Rodger is/was in a role far enough from being in regular contact with the board making not knowing plausible, and by "not knowing", it denies follow up questions.

The lizard people sacrificed him to ensure a smooth coronation and/or he was WACCA and is now on the lamb in north somercotes.  Of course JS wouldn't answer with the truth, he's an illuminati shill.......

Can we get back to outlandish transfer rumours now please?
