Honestly surprised that anyone would not want someone like Bennett signing for us, given where he's been in his career, where we've been since he left us, and the frankly low quality of players we've had since too.

For a CB that's played at such a high level and clearly looked after himself, 34 is not a terrible age. Danny Collins was 36 when he signed for us and had a few decent seasons still!

Luke Waterfall is 4 months younger than Ryan Bennett and most had absolutely no objections to us having him in the squad this time last year.

I love Luke and what he did for the club, but come on...

Looking at Lincoln’s list. I’d take Enyoma, Bishop, Adelakun …

Probably will stay at L1 level though or go to Doncaster…

I'd take any of the 5 they released quite happily.. just seen that only Adelakun and Eyoma are leaving

Apologies if it's been mentioned on this thread earlier - but the great Paul Futcher was 35 when he signed & he gave us 5 class years.

It doesn't matter what we think, Artell isn't from the area, and hasn't spaffed himself every time there is any mention of Bennett. I'm sure he has his own targets and Bennett may well not be one of them. Let's move on.

A player that stood out for me last season, even more so that he was in a 5hit team was Kyle mcallister at the veggies. Am sure he won’t want to be playing in the NL given his undoubted ability. Everything this transfer window is far less predictable than previous years so i guess it’s a case of waiting to see

Thought the Newport left back looked pretty decent to.
