JUNIOR SEASON TICKET PRICE   (reply) Posted by: DB
Date Posted: Less than a minute ago
It all sounds like a 'grey' area reading the above.

The essence of the contract, to buy the ticket, depends on the date you buy it.

If your daughter gives her DOB as under 18 on the date you buy the ticket then she gets 17 year old price. All details to make the contract are correct and nobody has been misled.

It is the same principle in reverse as buying an adult ticket when you are 64 years old, but 65  when the season starts. Buy it when you are 64 years old then you pay the 64-year-old rice with no refund on your birthday. If you wait till you are 65 then you would pay the pensioner rate, which would be less.

No you aren't. It's what happens when you make assumptions

Please explain to me what it is, then. I can't even find a meaning for it when searching online, which makes it likely to be some sort of a fringe view. I look forward to discovering just what it means. As it is GrimPol posting it (one of two on the forum who I have blocked), I'm pretty sure it will be relatively easy to pick it apart.

All clubs use data, it just depends to what degree. Obviously, we're using a system and a network that others aren't, but that isn't to say no one else is looking at data in some form.

I think JS cleared up the data point, too — he said exactly what I'd been thinking, in that data only takes you so far. There are so many variables in football that data can never be the answer. But it can be the head start in identifying and creating value.

You could be the most talented manager in the world — academically, strategically — but if you're a terrible communicator then 90% of your talent (and the data) is wasted.

My question mark over Artell was just that. Clearly he's a bright man, intelligent, applies thi...

one thing that surprised me was Andrew saying how few clubs at our level use data.
That reminded me that when we got 21st group on board JS  said only Plymouth (who were subsequently promoted) and us were their only clients in the lower leagues. So if it is used well, we should have a big advantage over everyone else

More and more evidence is pointing to the disaster of last season being down to Hurst's stubbornness and refusal to actually utilise the things put in place to help. There's no chance any data would have identified Rekeil Pyke as an undervalued superstar centre forward and you only need to watch him for 90 minutes in that position to know that he isn't very good there. Yet here we ar...

I find it hard to believe he'll be coming here based on the fact he's 33, he's been at Cambridge since 2011 and before that was at Bromley. He's clearly a southern lad and I don't see any reason why at the age of 33 he'd uproot his family.

But then again, thats the sort of player we habitually sign every year. You would rather hope that the data-led approach would would take in to consideration the injuryproneness of individuals.

We will see how it all pans out soon enough

Artell and Stockwoods & Petits talk about needing to find undervalued players who are that for various reasons. Injury record may be one of them. It certainly looks like that’s the case with Thompson who came he with us being told he only has 75 mins in his legs. He’s proving otherwise despite needing to be handled with care early on.
There may well be others who come in with similar circumstances and they are always a gamble but I think t...

You must be the only one of us left in that group. I was banned for being a town fan without actually saying anything derogatory. They are an odd bunch who don't seem to comprehend that someone would be interested in what goes on at a rivals club.

One thing our team, and particularly the defence, lacked all season was pace. And I would think the data would back that up. I highly doubt Artell looks at our sluggish back line and thinks that what they need to improve is a left back in his mid 30s who’s had injury problems for two seasons.

Genuinely, the club wouldn’t give me my son’s 4-17 accompanied ticket until I brought in his passport! I had to go home and get it. I think this was last season, or maybe the one before - probably the latter, as we were newbies.

It's definitely more stringent now than 20 years ago , me and my mates were getting young adult season tickets at 25/26  back in the day for Champ football - looking back it was certainly good value.

It does but they are going to need a manager that will take the job for peanuts on a low budget

It will be a very attractive proposition for a good local non league manager, or someone starting off their career

Thought Odoh was shite with zero end product personally, exactly the same as when he was at Rochdale. On the other hand I thought Derrick Abu who Harrogate had on loan from Southampton and played at right back for them against us a few weeks ago was superb. Doubt there's much chance Southampton would loan him out to League Two again next season but he's definitely one i'd be happy to have here.

Agree on both fronts. Odoh buzzes about and looks tricky but no end product

If 17 at the time of purchase, I would say you'd be OK with a junior ticket

GTFC will have her D.O.B. on her/your account, so looks like she will have to buy 18+ season ticket.

Morning, I was wondering if someone could help. My daughter had a junior unaccompanied season ticket last year and wants to renew this year. She turns 18 at the beginning of the season but will be 17 at the time of renewing. My question is can she renew at the junior price ?

Were Jon Nolan and Toto Nsalia good enough to go from Town in National League to Ipswich in the Championship [via Shrewsbury] previously? 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, but they were young and left a successful Grimsby team.
