Don't get me wrong certain posters do deserve a bit (a lot) of stick for what they've said today. Going back to before kick off and pulling people up on things they've commented on is a bit childish though! A lot of what was said was pretty valid from both sides of the happy clapper/negative twit fence.

True, it is childish and I'm guilty of it. Couldn't resist though given the level of abuse he was getting before kick off. Sometimes I do wonder if some people actually want us to win.

I'm not going to get into the Hurst debate all I will say is this team is strong and resilient and played superb today. Now WE all owe it to  them to pack Blundell Park to the rafters give the lads and the manager one hell of a reception. Lets give Forest Green a battering on and off the field they will never forget.

Come on we are all one.    FOR TOWN,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, FOR HURST.............THIS TOWN KNOWS.......BELIEVE IT.

I suppose there are exceptions to the "we all want the same thing" rule.

I apolgise for any offence caused.

I am big enough to say that and well done town.

As for paul being the right man well lets agree to disagree on that but for anyone suggesting i want town to lose well i didnt donate my hard earned money to the club for that reason.

Great result today.

Yes good win today. but i think it was more of  about taking the chances that fall to you., i still think there is something wrong down at the park tho, and one win wont change my mind about hurst,, But i wont fall into the trap of calling people names for having a different view than me like some do.  i love my football and my club and make no excuse for wanting better

Whichever way we look at it we have now put together a 6 match unbeaten run and have kept two clean sheets on the bounce.

Last season we had a masterful defence but folk were always saying think what we could do with genuine goalscorers. Maybe PH has got it exactly right now - going and playing to the strengths we know we have. Two players with 13 goals on the bench will hopefully be busting a gut to get a start next week. Players do have to earn their place and nobody should be immune from being either dropped or rested if the situation demands it. Beat FGR next week and the drums will be banging bg time, I'm sure?

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

Just shows what a strange game this is. While FGR were winning those early games we were missing umpteen chances and conceding from the odd attacks on our goal.

Todays stats for FGR vs Gateshead read..
Corners: FGR 6 Gateshead 1
Shots on target FGR 14  Gateshead 2

Sounds familiar.
A complete reversal in fortunes for FGR and ourselves, and evidence that anything can happen this season.

Said earlier in the thread somewhere that everyone if honest, would've had grumblings about the forward line today.
I know I did..
