As chairman, yes. Fleetwood are owned by a company called Jaymel Limited, which is owned by Pilley.

What’s not clear from the BBC article is what happens to Pilley’s ill gotten assets or who controls them now he is in the nick. If he, or his companies, are no longer able to bankroll the club then they are left with the club’s organic revenue streams to fund its running.

Given they are likely to have longer-term contract obligations based on sugar-daddy finance, that’s likely to become problematic rather quickly on gates of ~3,000. Fúck ‘em, I say.

Hmmm. I don't think the Singaporean billionaire (and multi-multi-millionaire ex-ManYoo players) owners are likely to run out of dosh at Salford, to be honest. Even if almost all of them end up in the chokey.
