Grimsby v Forest Green Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 18/12/2014

GRIMSBY return to meaningful first team action for the first time since late November when they host big-spending Forest Green at Blundell Park on Friday night. Unfortunately left back Aswad Thomas has been ruled out the match with a calf injury.

Thomas has been struggling with injuries all season and has already have to recover from a broken leg this campaign. Hurst will probably revert to the back four that drew with Telford, when Thomas was also injured, with Toto Nsiala coming in as a full back.

For Rovers midfielder Rob Sinclair and veteran striker Lee Hughes return to the squad after the pair missed the midweek Didcot FA Trophy replay with respective groin and back injuries.

Town have a good record with Rovers who they have beaten 5 times out of 8 and drawn 2. However, last time the clubs met in March, Grimsby experienced their first defeat against the Gloucestershire club
