WBA Game Televised
News From 25th June 2000
Sky Sports have announced that will be televising next season's home game against West Brom. The fixture has been switched to Sunday 29th October with a 1pm Kick Off.
The news is a boost for the club's coffers as Grimsby will earn £50,000 for the TV game, in addition to the money they receive through gate receipts.
The fixture has quite a history over the years, mainly due to Alan Buckley having managed West Brom in between his two spells at Grimsby, and several ex-Baggies in Grimsby's squad.
Last season's game ended in a 1-1 draw which Grimsby reportedly should have won.
