The Fishy - Grimsby Town FC

Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Reserves Game On

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 02/10/2000

Grimsby Town's new trialists Carsten Lektonen a 22 year old from Denmark who previously played for Club FC Midtyulland 2000 and Neil Murray, a Scott who previously played for Club Mainz 05 (German League 2nd Division) arrived at Blundell Park today.

They will be joined by trialists Moises and Lenhart who were released last week but have arrived back at BP to play on Wednesday for the reserves against Stoke City at Blundell Park. It is also expected that New Zealand goalkeeper Jason Batty will also be in the team. This is an important game for Town as it will Give Lennie Lawrence another look at Lenhart and Moises and an opportunity to determine if the two newcomers are worth continuing with a full trial.
