Lennie Lawrence has sprung his second surprise of the day and revealed that he is hoping to sign the current Chinese national captain Zhang Enhua on loan for the rest of the season! The 27 year old defender will be joining Town when the Chinese season finishes at the end of October.

Zhang currently plays with top Chinese side Dalian Shide and he has won 90 caps for his country scoring 10 goals. He is no stranger to English football, having had a trial with Southampton in 1998. Zhang is not a small man, unlike a lot of Chinese players, being six foot tall and weighing twelve and a half stone.

Earler today Lawrence announced the imminent signing of Danish striker David Nielsen on a 3 month loan spell. The news follows on from yesterday when Lawrence revealed that he was considering bringing Clive Mendonca back to the club he originally made his name at.
