Town May Send Taylor Home Due To Red Card

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 04/02/2002

THE red card Robert Taylor received on Saturday could see the end of his loan period at Grimsby Town. Facing a 3 match ban after Bungle Ref Mike Ryan sent him off there seems no point in keeping him.

Paul Groves has admitted the obvious and said that keeping him on loan for a second month would be difficult because of his impending suspension.

"We'll have to look at that. But if a ban comes in, and it's probably going to be three matches, then that takes you to the beginning of March. That would make it complicated," said Groves

This is extremely bad news for the fans who have hailed Taylor since his arrival and he has proved to be the sort of player Town needs up front.

Without him it looks like Paul Groves will have to go on the loan trail once again but finding another Taylor will not be easy.
