Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Kingsley Black

Although signed by Brian Laws, Kingsley was a very "Buckley" player - he was a good passer of the ball, skilful and small -three very Buckley characteristics. Most will remember Wayne Burnett for his Golden Goal in the 1998 Auto Windscreens Final, but it was Kingsley Black who scored the decisive goal that took Town into extra time. Despite this, Black will probably be remembered more for the big part he played in that great season for Town in 1998 and those classic free kicks he took in his time at Blundell Park. He was a player who always tried, and although was never remarkably brilliant - he was a loyal servant to Town. Kingsley is one of a rare breed in football nowadays - a player who does not base his morals on greed and money and like many of Town's players down the years he was an honest and loyal player.
