IN a landmark judgement today The Football League have released a document which shows how much money was paid to agents from existing League members.

The report shows how much each club paid to agents during the period Jan - June 2004 and also includes its own League table, division by division.

The tables show the movement of players between the clubs by grading them on new registrations, transfers, cancelled contracts and how many loans each club used during this period.

During the report’s period Grimsby Town had 6 new registrations, 3 updated contracts, 1 cancelled contract, 9 loans, but NO money was paid to any football agent. This document can be viewed on the official Football League website and is a way of showing dealing between Football League clubs and FIFA registered agents.

Town were similar to the majority of clubs in their Division, most of whom paid no money to agents during the six month period of the study. The biggest spenders in Division Two on agents last year were Sheffield Wednesday (41K) and Barnsley (60K).
