Is football a business or a sport?

Mickael Antoine-Curier

One of the worst players to ever pull on the famous black and white shirt. Signed by, rather aptly, Nicky Law (I assume without ever actually seeing him play) Antoine-Curier made his debut as a half time substitute against Hartlepool. 45 minutes later most of the home fans realised he was dreadful. The others already knew. They'd seen him against Town a couple of weeks previouly playing for Notts County, who kicked him out for being on the razz the night before a home game against champions-elect Plymouth Argyle.

If you need an indicator of how bad he was Town were his sixth club of the season.

His fifth and final game came in the atrocious 2-0 home defeat to Blackpool. With Town 1-0 down MAC decides to try and shepherd the ball out inside his own area. Instead he's tackled and Danny Coid finishes off to seal Blackpool's win. MAC's next touch was greeted with deserved booing and 4 minutes later, to rapturous applaus, he is substituted, thus ending his career in England.

He now plays in Norway.

Next Player: Graham Hockless
