HUDDERSFIELD midfielder Lee Fowler has arrived at Blundell Park for a trial. The 22-year-old Welshman could feature in tomorrow's friendly with neighbours Scunthorpe.
Fowler began his career at Coventry before moving to Huddersfield two years ago. He will be remembered at the McAlpine Stadium for scoring the winning penalty which saw the Terriers promoted to League One over a year ago. Fowler made 8 starts for the Terriers last season.
Also on trial at the moment are midfielders Wayne Graves (ex-Scunthorpe) and Ciaran Toner (ex-Lincoln), defenders Lee Thompson (Boston United) and Karl Colley (Barrow) and former Tranmere Rovers and Rushden striker Alex Hay. Many of the trialists are expected to feature in tonight's pre-season friendlies at Bridlington, and tomorrow's match at home to Scunthorpe.
There is also a chance that one of the French-based trialists who were at Blundell Park earlier in the summer may return this week for the friendlies.
