Who Are Ya: Lincoln

WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to Lincoln.

Key PlayerJamie Forrester.A real handful at this level. If the ex Mariners man can continue the form that earned him a permanent deal with the Imps, then Schofield's men could be in business.
StrengthsA fresh start for the Imps. It's been well documented that under Keith Alexander, a very direct style of play was preferred. The Imps won't shy away from mixing it again, but Schofield has made it clear he wants to blend this with a more passing style of play. It could just work.
WeaknessesThe losses of Yeo, McCombe and McAuley are massive for Lincoln. Question marks linger over their capabilities at the back - with only Morgan and Moses as recognised central defenders. Furthermore, the signing of Mark Stallard marks a gamble. He had a difficult time at Shrewsbury last season, netting just 6 league goals.
Prediction13th. A season of transition for the Imps could be on the cards.

Next Team: Macclesfield
