WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to Shrewsbury.

Key PlayerBen Davies.Gary Peters pulled off a real coup by snapping up Davies from rivals Chester City. Davies caught the eye last season with some impressive performances in the centre of the Chester midfield and many thought he would move to a League One club. If he can dominate the midfield area for Shrewsbury, they could have a very good season.
StrengthsThe Shrews have an astute manager in the shape of Gary Peters. His squad is slowly starting to take shape. Andy Cooke and Glynn Hurst will score goals in this division, whilst in Jamie Tolley, they boast one of the best young midfielders in the lower leagues.
WeaknessesAs with Joe Hart, Shrewsbury could be forced to sell some of their top talent should bigger sides come knocking. Also, their away form last term was abysmal - nobody lost more games on the road than the Shrews.
Prediction4th. I think Shrewsbury could be another surprise package this season. Gary Peters has added one or two excellent players to a side that at the end of last season was starting to hit form.

Next Team: Stockport
