Lawson Signs On Loan

THE Mariners have signed 19-year-old Southend United striker James Lawson on a one month loan deal as cover for the front two.
Lawson, who can also play on the wing, made a big impact when he made his debut for the Shrimpers last season, scoring after just 10 minutes in their 1-0 win against Oldham. The 19-year-old has played three times this season for the Shrimpers in the Championship.
The young striker will go straight into Saturday's squad to face Stockport County, vying for a place with Town starlet Andy Taylor on the bench.
