Beat the Bookies: Week 3

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 20/08/2010 (Last updated: 20/11/2010)

WOLVES came up with the goods last week to ensure Beat the Bookies came up with a small profit. Sadly Morecambe couldn't overcome Rotherham in our other tip.

Home > 2010-2011 Season > Beat the Bookies > Week 3

  • Altrincham v Crawley Town. Altringham have had a tough start to the BSP campaign this season, but have come close in both their games against Darlo and Luton, and now have a home game against a lesser supported club, but one of the favourites. Crawley are favourites, but they have yet to pick up a win, and the pressure to do so may get to them. Selection: Altringham

  • Kettering v Darlington. This could be a close game, the bookies make Darlo slight favourites, but Kettering are quite strong at home and could be up to take another former league club's scalp. Selection: Kettering

  • Shrewsbury v Aldershot. The Shrews are justifiably favourites, but Aldershot are a decent side and more than capable of picking up three points. Selection: Aldershot

  • Accrington Stanley v Macclesfield. Neither side have won yet but Macclesfield look the better value at 5/2. Selection: Macclesfield

  • Stoke v Tottenham. Stoke have a fantastic record at home, and are always worth backing when they are not favourites to win. Spurs had a tough game midweek and will have half a mind on the return leg for sure. Selection: Stoke
