DANNY Carlton has returned to his parent club Bury after his month's loan at Blundell Park has concluded. The Leeds-born forward failed to score any goals in his five Grimsby games but did have a number of chances.
In other player news youngsters Mark Gray and Nathan Dixon have joined Spalding for a month on loan and to give them first team football in the Northern Premier League First Division South. Town's large squad mean their chances have been limited at Blundell Park so far this season.
Meanwhile Richard O'Donnell will not be available for Saturday's FA Cup clash at Tamworth. The Owls do not want the on-loan 'keeper to be cup tied. Grimsby are still waiting a decision from Scunthorpe as to whether fellow loanee, midfielder Andrew Wight, will be allowed to play in the Fourth Road Qualifying Round clash in the West Midlands.
