Barrow v Grimsby Team News

PAUL Hurst has some more firepower at his disposal as his Grimsby side take on Michael Jolley’s Barrow in a basement clash tonight in Cumbria. Town signed striker Stefan Payne from Tranmere, a player who Paul Hurst had on loan when at Shrewsbury. The 29-year-old has played most recently for the Shrews. Bristol Rovers and latterly Tranmere.

Fellow forward James Hanson started in the 3-0 defeat at Scunthorpe at the weekend and is also expected to play a part tonight. Harry Clifton and Luke Waterfall are still injured and winger Filipe Morais is rated doubtful.

Hurst's other signings Habergham, Menayese and Matete are all likely to feature, although in truth no player can be assured of his place after a poor display at the weekend.

Barrow have won 3 and drawn 1 of the last 5 since Jolley arrived and are now 2 points above Town.

UPDATE: Match Postponed (waterlogged pitch)
