Question of the Week

Who will win League 2?

Fans Chip In

GRIMSBY Town fans have donated a five-figure sum to The Mariners Trust to give families who would not be able to afford to go to the National League play-off final the chance to.

The outrageous ticket prices set by the National League, as well as the cost of travel and accomodation during a Bank Holiday weekend in London, had left many fans consigned to watch the match on BT Sport as they can't afford the cost. However, the generosity of supporters, including several from other football teams, has presented the opportunity to them to go and back their team in person.

£12,000 had been donated last night and the figure will inevitably increase as more are made aware of it. See this thread for details.

Fans who have managed to get tickets have faced problems buying them online, especially the lack of concessions, which has now been resolved according to the Trust.

Up to 25,000 tickets are available to both clubs for the game, which takes place at the London Stadium, the home of West Ham on Sunday. You can buy tickets here.

Should Grimsby get promoted, it will be a fairytale ending for the side who were relegated last season and only just made the playoffs after finishing in sixth place and facing two away games against sides above them to reach the final. Very few teams have been promoted in their first season at this level.
