Tony's Verdict:Â Purchased from York in 1999 he initially wooed the crowd with all action displays and a few tricks, before being dropped for most of the winter. His inability to shoot became increasingly apparent, as the shots got further and further away from the goal. Returned in the Spring showing off the "Pouton step over" and even scoring against Man City. Expected to be Groves' long term replacement. Pronounced, variously, as Poo-ton, Por-ton, Pot-ton, and correctly as Pow-ton. Has played at left wing, right wing and centre midfield. Good in all three positions. | ||||||||||||||||||||
