Willy's Wine Bar
Galli-O-Meter: 3 |
Along Clee seafront.
One of Cleethorpes' more respectable alehouses, Willy's is also distinguished by the brewery that adjoins the pub - the last one remaining in the area.
Besides their wallet-friendly Original, Willy's are also noted for the excellent, if slightly fearsome, Coxswain and Old Groyne, not to mention the black and white porter Mariners Gold - brewed in 1990 to celebrate Town's promotion.
By night Willy's is lively yet seldom threatening; by day it is a wonderful place simply to sit and cradle a comforting pint while you watch the tide roll in.
