Had a decent game between the posts. Was left exposed to concede the goal but otherwise did his job well.
Grade: C
McDermott
He was, like the rest of the team in the first half, very mediocre. Got forward on a couple of occasions but looked slightly troubled defensively.
Grade: C-
Gallimore
Looked OK in this game and wasn't as so predictably bad. Quite attacking in the second half and it was his best game for quite some time.
Grade: B-
Groves
Very steady in defence once more although I'm not sure where he was when the goal went in.
Grade: C+
Chapman
OK, so he was about half as tall as the man he was marking, but generally did a good job and has a lot of pace about him.
Grade: C+
Pouton
Powerful, aggressive and combative in midfield once more. Did his usual trick of scaring his opponents off the ball. Not too many step-overs this time though.
Grade: B-
Campbell
What a player Lennie Lawrence has signed. Our only creative midfielder/player in the first half and continued well in the second half.
Grade: B
Willems
Got better as the game went on, but was pants in the first half. It looks like he might finally be getting to grips with the English game after all.
Grade: C
Butterfield
Again much better in the second half, although his passing was OK in the first. Looked more threatening in an attacking sense in the second half, and he and Menno ran the show towards the end.
Grade: B-
Jeffrey
What was he doing? Back to goal, backwards passing, someone should have told him we were shooting towards the Pontoon in the first half.
Grade: D
Jevons
Showed some good touches, looked the more creative of the two strikers and played much better after the departure of Jeffrey and the introduction of Rowan.
Grade: B-
SUBS
Rowan
In a way the youngster changed the game. Showed a lot of pace, purposeful running and got the winner which he deserved.
Grade: B
Ford
A very encouraging start on his debut (forgetting his dodgy first touch). Could have scored the winner and won a lot in the air (then again, he did replace Chapman).
Grade: B-
