Is football a business or a sport?

Not Good Enough! - Livvo

STEVE Livingstone, who did not have the best of games on Saturday, talked to the Grimsby Telegraph about it. "It would have been the same if we'd only lost 1-0 - we'd still have got no points." he said.

"We can't let it destroy our confidence and let the doubters get to us. We have to put the emphasis on the home games and put the bad stuff behind us. We're disappointed because we thought we were going to get something out of this game. We started off okay then, all of a sudden, we were a goal down to a shot from 30 yards that moved all over the place."

"When we were 2-0 down we knew we needed to get the next goal. Then it was 3-0 and we were just chasing the game. We matched them and had some good situations but we didn't have a great deal of conviction in our efforts on goal. There were a couple early on but we didn't get the final product. Whether it was a lack of confidence or what, I don't know."

"We had some good play but we never scored or made the keeper make a fantastic save. We have to keep it tight at the back too and we can't concede the goals we did. The game was lost in both penalty areas and when bits dropped in the boxes they got on the end of them, and we didn't."

"They were always going to look like a better team in the last half hour but the most important thing was that we matched them. We can take something from that at least. But our main gripe up front was that we didn't get enough shots on goal. That's not good enough. It's as simple as that."

"I was a bit tired at the end. I didn't win many headers. But I'm happy with how I felt and it was 90 minutes of proper football under my belt.

"Now it will just be about getting it right again for Tuesday."
