IN an amazing game tonight in which the Mariners more than matched Tottenham Hotspur in some area's but always aware of the danger, Grimsby Town fans were rewarded with the goal they were singing for.
Jean-Paul Kamudimba Kalala won the game with a brilliant shot with about 8 minutes left in the game. At the final whistle, the crowd were on the pitch celebrating.
It was a very emotional night and in the post match interview Russell Slade was delighted but also said we have to be careful.
"We have a difficult game at Boston and we should not forget that and get carried away But we should still enjoy this night"
"On reflection the way we played the game and took it to Spurs was impressive. And the way our fans supported they were magnificent."
George Kerr on Radio Humberside summed it up with "This is Town's greatest moment!"
MOM was Rob Jones.
