Millers Sign Ex-Mariner

ROTHERHAM, who only steered clear of financial trouble yesterday, have thrown themselves right into the deep end again after the signing of highly-paid player, Michael Boulding.
This signing is sure to come as a big shock to Football League fans who followed the ex-Mariner's career. Only in the summer he turned down a one year deal to join Crewe because there was no promise of first team football. This then resulted in retirement for the thirty year old who was once a Pontoon cult hero.
The deal itself is believed to only be until the end of the season but many fans may believe Rotherham is just another one of Boulding's diving boards to bigger and better things. Alan Knill thinks this is untrue and said that Boulding would be a 'good squad player'.
It is understood that the training at Millmoor and his eagerness to return to the game swayed the ex professional tennis player's decision to give it one more go in his search for the big time.
Boulding is not in the squad for the Millers' crunch game tomorrow against Bristol City but isn't thought to be too far off match fitness.
