Michael Reddy Interviewed

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 08/04/2006

IN this week's issue of The League Paper Mariners' striker Michael Reddy is a guest columnist. Here's a little teaser of what Michael had to say.

"I wouldn't care if I didn't score another goal this season... as long as we got automatic promotion. I've netted 14 goals this term and that's not a bad tally and I don't take penalties either! but you always want to score more and as a striker you have to be a bit greedy.

"This has been my second season at Grimsby and I'm really enjoying it. BeforeI moved here, I had plenty of loan spells at different clubs. It's hard when you play a few games here and there, and it can be difficult to get some momentum going. I'm settled here and really enjoying my football.

"The management team are very good and I feel I have progressed as a player. My contract finishes this summer, but the club have a year's option on it. They haven't really spoken to me about it yet, but I'm sure that will happen in the summer.

"I'm 26 and it would be nice to play at a higher level, so fingers crossed the club will be in League One next season.

"For the rest of Michael's column and great match reports buy The League Paper, this Sunday/Monday."
