Goodfellow was signed by Headmaster Slade midway through the promotion push season in 05/06. Came to the club having suffered various injuries and it was rumoured that he had fallen out with managers at previous clubs. Initially looked a promising signing, but started very few games and perhaps was not given the chance he deserved. Released at the end of the season, and this hardly came as a surprise. Since then has had a spell at Bury and currently plays in the Conference for Burton Albion.
