Like you, I don’t think I moved into the abuse category but definitely needed to think more before firing off a tweet. Problem is with Twitter, it’s just there to shout into the universe anything you want that you ordinarily wouldn’t do. Or get into heated arguments with people that if you were down the pub or face to face just would be a friendly debate.

Think the main problem, whether it’s here or twitter or wherever, is that there’s a group of people who just act endlessly in bad faith purely to be contrarian. It’s like the main aspect of their personality - aside from being obnoxious and achingly boring. Suppose most people get them at work & you just roll your eyes & ignore them, but must be difficult when you have to at least pretend to care about them.

Just on the atmosphere discussion, the club need to maybe have a rethink about where they put large groups of kids & families if they want a more hostile atmosphere. Last time I was in the Osmond it was like a crèche & I think it’s generally where school or club outings get stuck.

I just love the passion Jason and Andrew have, and it shows in how much Jason doesnt hold back from swearing.

Huffing and fuffing and effing and jeffing.

Thats the best kind of person to have in charge.

I'm sure there are many on here have 'been vitrioled'  either in a workplace or as a business owner on SM - it's a difficult one for me as I see where he's coming from and going over the line with personal abuse is not on .

But it sounds like it's just added to their motivation - didn't Stockwood say they are 'fuelled' now or something along those lines ? Both Stockwood & Pettit sounded more emotional than I think I have heard to date , no one can question their passion for the club and let's hope this season can be the setback that drives us forward.

Really enjoyed this and felt the two owners and gaffer came across really well.

The lads at DN35 did a really good job extracting as much out of the trio as they possibly could in the given time frame.

Particularly enjoyed Stockwoods good hearted dig at Sam at the end. Sam looked like he didnt know where to put himself !

It was a good listen, I just would of preferred more from the manager about the team, players and aspirations.

I’ll be honest and admit that I try to avoid listening to JS and DA where possible. That’s not a dig at them as such. I feel once you’ve heard one JS interview in a short period you’ve heard every thing he has to say as he’s very good at sticking to a party line and has consistent opinions. DA I have avoided purely because he mainly talks about our football and I haven’t wanted to re-live it or prejudice what I’m about to see.

I made an exception for this and was impressed. There’s definitely regrets and lessons learned which is important as we used to make the same mistakes again and again. I don’t think it’s as probable that we’ll see those mistakes repeated next season - at least not through complacency.

I’m going to make a new seasons resolution to not be as reactionary immediately on here or other socials this coming season from what JS said. It doesn’t help anyone and has a higher chance of making me look stupid!

Excellent pod cast. What I take from it is that despite a horrific season, which none of us expected, I think there are genuine grounds for optimism about the future.

JS and AP are smart guys. They have made mistakes but have owned up to them and I believe will have learned from them. Let's face it they have only been running a football club for three years so obviously would have a steep learning curve. Given the immediate return to the EFL in their first season and the incredible cup run in their second, they might have underestimated how tough it is. But they Know now and they clearly have great passion for the club.

I am impressed with Artell too. he has owned up to his mistakes too. But I get the impression he knows how to improve matters on the pitch.

It sounds like new investment is imminent, and the playing budget will be ok next season.

We will be recruiting with a plan, let's hope that we can persuade the players we want and need to come here.

I enjoyed that and I don't think we could have anyone better to look after our club than Jason and Andrew.

Glad they have found some more like minded people to come on board to help out.
