Tony's Verdict: Hansen-esque central defender whose return to excellence after a mysterious year out injured coincided with Alan Buckley's return. A stylish ball player and solid tackler who likes to bring the ball out from defence, ensuring football is played on the ground. Seven Scottish u-21 caps and a worthy successor to Paul Futcher at the heart of the defence. Missed the entire 99/2000 season after breaking an ankle pre-season. Likes a game of pontoon.
