Tony's Verdict: Injury prone central defender who produced some towering performances during 1998/1999 season and missed half of the 99/2000. His partnership with Handyside was very parsimonious, limiting many attacks to speculative shots from outside the area. Has a tendency to fall over the ball when trying to dribble out of defence. Very brave, which accounts for some of the injuries. Signed from Leicester City in 1996.
