Pre-Season Friendly Dates

News From 6th June 2000

With last season not long finished, the pre-season friendlies for next season are just over a month away.

The highlight without question is the return of former Grimsby player and fans' idol Ivano Bonetti (now manager of Dundee), to the club where in a brief spell he made such an impression. This match is on Friday 21st July, followed by Grimsby's "Tour" of Ireland (actually 2 games in Derry).

Apart from Dundee and Ireland, the other highlights are local derbies against Lincoln and Brian Laws' Scunthorpe.

Domestic Friendlies:

• Brigg Town, Friday July 14th (A)
• Ilkeston Town, Tuesday July 18th (A)
• Dundee, Friday, July 21st (H)

Tour Of Ireland (all games at Derry City)

• Derry City, July 25th
• Tranmere Rovers or Finn-Harps, Thursday July 27th

Domestic Friendlies

• Lincoln City, Saturday July 29th (A)
• Luton Town, Monday July 31st (H)
• Spalding Town, Thursday August 3rd (A)
• Scunthorpe Utd, Saturday August 5th (A)
