Fans Criticism Debate

FRED:
Some of the rubbish I read about Town and our new manager makes me so angry

BERT:
Why? It's just folk being passionate about their game and about their town.

FRED:
Being stupid more like. Buckley was criticised for not talking and poor old Lawrence is criticised for talking too much. what do people want?

BERT:
To have their cake and eat it I suppose. Lawrence has said a few things but they haven't happened yet, like a premiership loan striker. I guess a few folk will only listen when the words become actions

FRED:
So what about tactics. Seems like half the crowd against Gillingham know how town ought to be playing, yet the only person that's got a win out of them in 6 months has been Lawrence. Is he credited? No he's criticised for his tactics.

BERT:
So they're worried he played too open a defence and we'll get stuffed by better teams.

FRED:
That is twaddle. Never mind the better teams, we play one game at a time. Perhaps against the next team he'll play a different tactic still. Give him a chance, he isn't daft. Buckley was slated for being boring and now Lawrence is getting it in the neck for being adventurous.

BERT:
People wanted a change from Buckley. Not a change every week. Just a different and more purposeful attacking style.

FRED:
And I'm sure Lawrence will end up with one. He's still waiting on Handyside, R. Smith, Gally and Donovan you know.

BERT:
So what is it you want?

FRED:
For people to give the new manager a chance. So far he's won one lost one in the league which is mid table stuff. Knock him once we've been hammered back to the bottom but until then show a bit of belief and optimism.

BERT:
And if we start winning a few more games?

FRED:
Then get your arses down to Blundell Park. A four and a half thousand crowd isn't helping anybody either. I've almost come to the conclusion that this town deserves a second or third division team at best.

BERT:
Strong talk. But you may be right.
