Long-suffering Chez Osborne, wife of Nick, tells the tale of the week she has had to endure as a Cod Widow. Times can be hard and Nick stretches her patience to the full on occasions as his priorities in life differ widely from her expectations of them!
Diary of a Cod Widow
This week has been very strange for me. It goes from the funny to the not so funny to the abusive(ish). And guess what? Most of it isnt Sadman's fault. I know you don't believe it, neither do I but it's true. So it looks like Sadman gets a reprieve for the week (Not)

It's match day, away to Wolves. Sadman has promised to play pool for a team that is short of players. He went barmy when he realised he would miss the match. He forgot. How he forgot I will never know, alls he ever does is talk about 'Town'. Anyway, I got the blame for him missing the match. (And he lost at pool, hehehe). I went in the chatroom on the Fishy. Nothing new in that you might think but the reception i got was different. The 'Pirate' (now a confirmed pratt) and some others, Steff K, Clubber and others whose names I can't or don't wish to remember, were all giving me some jip. Talking about me, ME? doing a calendar. The Pirate was offering err.... piccies of me on the net.The cheeky twat. And some else if was 'much cop?' Well you will all be sorry in the long run, that's a promise. The words "Woman-Wrath-Scorned", come to mind. So beware. |

Sadman has got a shit load of Rivals fanzines and asks me to help him in giving a few out. Like a mug I say ok. 'Where we going to give them out?' I ask. 'Just get in the car and I'll show you' he said. Well when we got there I laughed my socks off. The crafty old twat only took us to Greate Coates. We posted them through the letter boxes. One bloke came out and asked if we were taking the 'Michael'. Just doing my job I told him. You can guess he wasnt too pleased, hehehehe. |

Matchday, again. That's twice this week. Usual orders apply, shut up, keep quiet, stay away from the pc he says. (Piss off, I'm thinking). Can't remember how they (Town) did, think you lost. The reason I can't remember is because of what happened at half time. Nicko is on nights and has his tea at half time, then goes to work after the game. Our eldest daughter is in town shopping with her mates and phones for a lift home. He, Sadman, ignores her request and stays in the chatroom so I have to go pick her up. I get back and Sadman hasn't moved from the PC, well he will pay for it, very soon, in fact it was 4 seconds later when he got his just reward. You see, we were having a prawn salad for tea, while I was out the CAT had gone in the kitchen and ate all Sadman's prawns. Normally the cat would get told off, but Sadman's ignorance earlier and his face when he realised there was no tea before work was enough to warrant an extra tin of whiskas in this week's shopping. Gotta go, he's on nights and I'm off out. Hope I'm home before he finishes work. He'll never know I went out. hehehe. Chez |
