POM Table Change

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 07/01/2001

Starting from February, the POM will be split into three leagues with thirty pommers in each division, based upon the places in the table at the end of January. From now on three pommers will be relegated from the 1st division and three will be promoted into it every month.

Home > Competitions > 2000-2001 POM > POM Table Change

Similarly three pommers will swap between the second and third divisions. The third division may not have exactly 30 pommers in it, but the number of people with non-zero scores outside the top thirty in the league is currently around about that number.

Lines in the current table have been drawn at the 30, 60 and 90 marks. The monthly POM table will be drawn from all three divisions, with no regard for the division each pommer is in.

All remaining pommers will be kept on file, but those without a score will not be displayed in the table until they first enter a POM. In the event of a tie in the number of points between two pommers, the Nostradmus scores of each contestant will be used to separate the pair, followed by the number of POM votes cast. In the event of a tie on both these counts, the scores in column order going from left to right in the table will be used to decide between the two pommers, with the first person to exceed the other deemed to be the winner.

In the meantime keep entering as normal, nothing has changed with the scoring system or the method of entry for the POM's.

Happy pomming!

Rob
