Bradley Allen Recall

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 01/02/2001

With Steve Livingstone on a one-match suspension and Daryl Clare on loan to Cheltenham, Town boss Lennie Lawrence has had to resolve the problem of who to play in the front line with Michael Jeffreys by recalling Bradley Allen sooner than expected.

With Rowan in the 16-man squad and Kingsley Black also expected to be on the bench it allows manager Lawrence to play Donovan on the right where he wants him.

Although Lawrence wanted to let Allen ease into the side after a few more reserves game, the match against Wimbledon is an important game and that is undoubtedly the reason why Allen will now be included.

Fans will be pleased to see Allen back in first team action after his injury. His quick recovery could not have come at a better time for Town in the present circumstances and it is hoped that it will not be long before he is back to full fitness. His absence over the last few weeks has been a blow to Town and his return may herald a change of fortune.

Late News:

A late decision has meant that David Nielsen is not returning to Copenhagen

FC Copenhagen have allowed David Nielsen to train with the Premier League team Bradford City FC. David will train with the club's first team today and tomorrow.

According to Knut Anders Fostervold in the Romsdal Budstikke (Norwegian Press) the FC Molde left-sided defender has been told by Lennie Lawrence that he can return to Norway after this weekend.
