Is football a business or a sport?

No Benjamin Deal

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 06/02/2001

Mariners Boss Lennie Lawrence continues his search for a striker after Leicester City boss, Peter Taylor, vetoed a loan bid for third choice striker Trevor Benjamin. Lawrence went on Monday Evening to see Benjamin in a reserves game and left at half time as Benjamin took no part in the second half

Last week Lawrence indicated he had other options but wanted first to pursue the Benjamin deal. It remains to be seen who his targets are but if no immediate replacement is found it would seem that Jonathan Rowan might soon make his league debut.

Bradley Allen is also once again in the picture and with this news he is almost certain to be in the squad to meet Gillingham next Saturday.
