McGregor Interest?

The former Nottingham Forest "Beatnik Boy" Paul McGregor has now been linked away from his current club Plymouth Argyle. Grimsby, Swansea and Notts County are said to be interested in the 26-year-old player.
Popular Paul who never became as good as expected is believed to be a hot target for Town boss Lennie Lawrence who needs a new striker after the loss of the Danish on loan star David Nielsen left last month.
McGregor had earlier expressed that he wanted to leave his club for a new challenge - something that first division club Grimsby might give him.
The Liverpool born forward made his debut for Notts Forest in 1994, but played mainly as a substitute on the right wing as a result of his great matches for the youth and reserve team where he scored many goals.
Kingsley Black then played alongside the Liverpool born striker, and Kingsley may have recommended his former teammate.
McGregor who has also had loan spells at Preston and Carlisle is a creative, but light weighted player who likes to play in a free role - which in Grimsby terms means the "hole".
Though Paul never made the grade at the highest level, he could be a man for Grimsby if they want a more continental passing type player.
