Cod Widow's Diary Week 20

By: Chez Osborne
Date: 21/02/2001

Mon 12th Feb. Sadman's having withdrawls again. Another loss and he still hasn't got used to it. What a fool, after losing just about every other game so far you would think he would pick a team that could at least win a game once in a while.

Now I'm not too clever when it comes to this footie thing, but if a team isn't winning why not change to a team that does? Or is that not the way its done? I don't really care about the answer to that, it doesn't matter what I say to console the sad twat he just says we will next time. The eternal optimist? More like the eternal village idiot I say.

Tues 13th Feb.

Not much doing for today. He's even moaning that the list is quiet. (Wish he would be quiet for a few minutes). He gets up, logs on and moans about there being hardly any mails. "So what has that got to do with me?" I ask him. "Don't know" he replies. Well shut up then you sad git. (God I wish he would go out or something, he's doing my head in, it's even worse than them losing a game.....well nearly anyway)

Wed 14th Feb.

No footie news today but the postie has been this morning. It's that red envelope day today. Can't wait to see what garbage he has sent this year, a card from him in his handwriting that is signed "guess who" is what I am expecting. He gets more stupid every year......yawn.

Nicko GereWhoa, hang on a minute.......he's gone all soft this year. Nice card and a few emails with cryptic messages. Won't tell you what they are but looks like its dinner for two tonight....mmmmmmmmm can't wait. (If he takes me to the fish and chick I'll bloody kill him).

P.S. Nice meal on the Lincoln Castle is what I got. He fooled me all night with not letting on where we where going. 1O out of 1O for keeping it secret sadman.

Fri 16th Feb.

Nowt doing yesterday and pretty much the same today really. The only thing he keeps mentioning is some tackle on a scunny player (I wouldn't mind seeing that.....his tackle that is, hehehe). Anyway, I got shopping to do so that's it for this week. It's been a rather quiet week this week but the sadgit is still sad.

I thought I might start grassing up all those who read this at work when they should be working. People like Kenny Young and his mates who should really be working hard and not shirking off to read this. Saddo says I shouldn't name names because they could get into trouble. So don't worry Kenny, I won't name you after all. And if any of your gaffers are reading this......he doesn't read it, honest. hahahahaha.

Cya, Chez.

Now for the 'I wish I didn't say that moment'
Remember our dinner on the Lincoln Castle? Well, for those that don't know it's an old paddle steamer that used to ferry people to Hull from New Holland and back again in the days before the Humber bridge. Its berth now is at the fishing heritage centre.

Ross Tiger As we walked towards it I could see it was closed so I said 'we can't go on here because its closed'. He replied 'that's closed because its the old Ross Tiger (left), try the one that's all lit up with signs saying open and welcome aboard.'..DOH!

(The Ross Tiger is a derelict old boat on display, oh, and it's about ten feet from the Lincoln Castle)
