Ben Chapman A tough, small and ferocious warrior who never seemed afraid of a tackle (or Peter Morrison). He normally played down the left, making just couple of starts in the last Buckley era., but never establishing himself there. Hardly got a chance under Lennie Lawrence, and after claims by our good friend Brian Laws that he should have been sacked for his 'disgraceful' tackle on Peter Morrison, he was released in June 2001. However, this probably had more to do with the fact that he never even got close to beating off the sometimes 'wobbly' Tony Gallimore at left back.
