Injury Problems Once Again At Blundell Park

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 29/11/2001

MORE bad news for the Mariners on the injury front with the club reporting that striker Bradley Allen, who was taken off at half-time at Highbury with a calf strain, will definitely be out of consideration for the Man City game on Saturday and may not be fit in time for the Wolves game on Friday.

Alan Neilson is also in doubt after complaining of a sore hamstring after the Arsenal game and Jonny Rowan is also expected to be sidelined. Even worse news is that Alan Pouton may not recover from his heel injury in time for the game and is listed as a being in serious doubt. Although Paul Groves will play despite muscle problems, Gallimore who has returned from his suspension is doubtful with rib injuries. The only good news is that John McDermott and Steve Livingstone are recovering slowly and with 'Livvo' looking to play part of a game for the Reserves.
