Question of the Week

Who will win League 2?

Town Steamroller the Wolves!

By: Tim Smith
Date: 02/05/2002

I am sure my best moment of last season was Town's 1-0 win over the Wolves at Molineux. I am a student at Birmingham Uni, and have a number of mates who are keen Wolvo fans.

The Wolves v Grimsby game was built up between for months before, with only myself giving Town any chance of winning - with the unpredictability of GT you know one week they will lose a poor game to a lower side, then beat a high flyer in the same week!

On the day of the game it was a matter of how many Wolves would score, a figure of 7 was even mentioned! As I took my place in a packed John Ireland stand, surrounded by mates and 25,000 other Wolvo folks, I could only grin as the game unfolded, and Town played some good football, and scored! The 'fickle' Wolves fans moaned and wittered about how GT always ruin it for them....excellent!

My only worry was as I left the ground, and a 'grumpy' Wolvo fan, noticed the significant 'spring' in my step!!
