A Sad Time For Our Team

MY first game at BP was in 1947, yes I know, long shorts, top hats and beards and that was only the crowd!!
Since then I have followed their fortunes from many places, home and abroad, and finally returning to GY in time for the two visits to the twin towers. What days!
People in their thousands went and lined the streets when they came home - WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU NOW!! As a season ticket holder on and off throughout the years but especially this past five years I have sat in the Upper Smiths through crap and champagne football!! Last season who remembers York City and the Burnley games?
A gallant little band of us gather at our watering-hole every home game and the subject of our conversation (every April) is a) Are we going to stay up? and b) What about the new stadium? Getting a bit fed up of it now, over the past couple of years our group has gone from eight to four-Nuff said!!
I've got until the end of June to replace my ticket but during the present climate will the club give me my money back if the situation gets out of hand like Bradford? Think I'll wait and see. I bet the new ticket holders are less than impressed with the situation developing at BP.
Just a few thoughts from a very concerned supporter but its still UP THE MARINERS!!!
