Where Are They Now? - Gary Childs

By: Tony Hamilton
Date: 15/12/2002

TONY Hamilton of The Fishy caught up recently with Gary Childs to talk to him about his time at Blundell Park and where he is now.

Home > Features > Interviews > Gary Childs

A small, flying winner who signed for Town from Birmingham 1989. Childs was a typical Buckley player in size, but more than made up for that with his no-nonsense style and gutsy teamwork. Childs was normally Town's first choice winger, but he had to battle with Tommy Watson for the number 7 shirt, usually culminating in him making nearly 30 appearances a season. Childs was released after the 1996/97 relegation season and now coaches young children to play football and is an analyser on BBC Radio Humberside.
