Injury Crisis For Groves Again!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 13/02/2003

PAUL Groves faces another injury crisis with the news that Alan Pouton has aggravated the injury that kept him out for six weeks.

Groves told the Grimsby Telegraph that he needs a couple of new faces in with David Soames also doubtful after an ankle injury in the friendly against Lincoln on Wednesday.

Steve Livingstone is suspended, Darren Mansaram is injured and Jake Sagare is ill leaving only Jon Rowan as back-up for Chris Thompson and Mick Boulding.

"Pouts is struggling. He said he felt fine after the game but he's got worse as the week has progressed," said Groves. "We're looking for reinforcements in every department. We've made enquiries and we really need a couple in."
